A judge finalized their divorce this week, and the couple will reportedly share custody of their four year-old daughter, Bianca.

According to court documents, Benjamin Sifrit has been granted an absolute divorce from his wife and fellow convict, Erika. Unless either party objects within ten days a judge will dissolve the marriage. The couple was convicted of the 2003 Memorial Day weekend murders of two people in Virginia.

Sifrit is currently serving 38 years in North Branch Correctional Institution for second-degree murder. He represented himself in court Wednesday and argued he should be granted a divorce from his wife, who is serving a life sentence, because she is “a convicted felon.”
