California resident Jennifer Van de Sande has not seen her two children since May 2006. That’s when a judge ordered her to allow the kids, Kaitlynn and Brandon, to visit their father Davy Van de Sande in his native home in Belgium. Davy defied a court order to return the children in August; instead he filed for custody of them in Belgium courts. For the last two years, the only contact Jennifer has had with seven year old Kaitlynn and five year old Brandon has been through brief webcam interviews, closely monitored by Davy. Jennifer alleges that Davy was physically and verbally abusive to her and the children prior to their divorce.
